Grant Transit Authority (GTA) is proposing changes to both the fixed-route and DART services. The plan describes the proposed changes for both services in detail. GTA will have a public comment period for the months of June and July. Comments can be made using the link above, calling GTA at 509-765-0898, or attending one of the public meetings scheduled below.
The proposed changes will impact the current fixed-route service area on each individual route. Major changes include:
• Increasing total routes to 11 fixed routes (current service is 10 routes)
• New commuter route with increased frequency, connecting Moses Lake and Ephrata Transit Centers
• Expanded service with connections to local Middle and High Schools
• Additional coverage for local social services
• Increased frequency to Warden, Quincy, and George
• Broadening the service area in Quincy and George
DART services are looking to expand into two programs, Service for Seniors and DART Connections. Service for Seniors is a Pilot Program in the Moses Lake area to help customers who are 60 years old or older to have access where fixed route service might be limited or difficult to access. DART connections is currently offered by GTA, however, the service area and hours are expanding.
Public comment is open beginning June 1 and will continue through June 30. Comments can be made anytime through the Proposed Service Changes link on the interactive map or by calling us at 509-765-0898.
